Money Shot! Our money shot is a photo that we are going to take to capture the heart of Waimairi School. And we take it for what we think represents the heart of Waimairi School. We call it the Money Shot because when photographers make their photo for magazines they follow celebrities around and when they get a great shot they call it a Money Shot. Because they're going to get paid for it. Here is my Money Shot.This is my Money Shot I chose the library because lots of kids go here and have fun by reading books and learning because the knowledge in the book. And fun and learning is a key ingredient for a school so that’s why I think these two elements are in the library and that is what I think is the heart of Waimairi.



Week 8 School talent show
The talent show for our class was organised to see what the heart of our class is and lots of people did surprising things like acrobatics,singing,karate and dance I think it was to see the kids that give things a go and see their talents.




Week 6/7/8 Sculpture. For our sculpture we make found art and found art is art made out of found things like forks and spoons. I made a sculpture out of these things and it turned out good.Our sculpture is made out of spoons, forks, wood and cardboard. The bad thing was it didn't stand up so we had to get last minute wood for The Man to stand on . The good thing was we finished and we got to do Discovery Time.


Week 5 Fly on the wall. Fly on the wall is when you go to a class and be a like a fly to see what captures the heart of Waimairi for that class. I went to room 20 with Zoe and it was very interesting for Zoe and I we might of found out that the heart of their class was music because we found out they do that every day. Here’s a photo of their music.


Week 4 Calendar art today at art we did our calendar art and calendar art is when we make art for calendars diaries and even cards so I made a silhouette. A silhouette is a piece of art when you stick coloured paper to a piece of white paper and then you stick a type of message you think will be saying good luck or great game. like I did Rugby and Basketball.

Week 3 Today at arts we captured a moment in time. Capturing a moment in time is when you take a photo in time and your capturing that moment in time. And that photo is to represent what you love at Waimairi. This is my photo
It’s me with all my friends from Term 2 but I’ve made more friends since then though. I took this photo because my favorite thing in school is my friends and making new ones because they will be with me for my life.






Week 2 Today at arts we did music for Dance/Drama/Music For music we make a piece of music with an instrument. As in a guitar or drum set. And we use things from class to make and instrument and try make a beat.

Week 1Today at arts we did dance for Dance/Drama/Music. We did things like do a type of dance to the type of music and then we do a collaboration with someone and we do our dance moves together. The dances I did were the dishwasher,the lawnmower and the clothes line.

 

Hide and seek!

18,19,20 I went to a hide out then suddenly the seekers started seeking. I hid. Being quiet as a mouse a seeker crept past me I was peering at him walking by he didn’t see me. So after he passed I crept to another spot. And then the seeker found my hide out he came past I was trying to be as slick as cat creeping past a tree. And then I heard heavy breathing I see another hider right beside me. He found that hider. He was devastated and he went to find me but I left.And then I kept on hiding in and out of places and then the horror of kids being found until it went down to two. Me and my brother. Everybody was coming to find me I heard the voices of them and then I hear Hamish.So then I went to a mischievous place where no one would find me behind the shed. I was buried with leaves and dirt. It was the best. I found out where Cam was and I heard him say “help” and horror! He was found that meant the hider was close. Peering through the window he saw me and that was it the end of the great game.

Speech

When you go on holiday whether you going overseas staying in your country or just going on a road trip there's always two feelings, one when you're excited two you're nervous.

So I woke up at 6 am and I saw my mum there and I was thinking one word Fiji.

So I woke up excited but tired and there I was walking out like a zombie to get my clothes on.

After a couple hours I was outside looking for cars that would be my uber and then my brother was laid on the couch tired and I was thinking why were we up so early so we wouldn’t just wait?

And then our uber showed up we got in, got to the airport and waited for the plane for ages and then we heard a lady saying you can now board the plane for Nadi.

We boarded, I was on the plane more excited to go there than getting a present on Christmas. Maybe not that, but I was excited.

So then we arrived. We got through security and then we saw a guy holding up a sign saying Baillie, so I ran and ran to the guy and he said are you guys Baillie and I said yes so we got in the car.

It was a two hour ride and I fell asleep and when I woke up I realised I left my iPad and iPod on the plane and I told my mum and she said I was stupid.

And then we got there I got to open the door to the villa and after I did I thought, hallelujah, and then I saw the pool and there were pool lights so we jumped in and my mum said no but we didn't care.

And after two days we finally did something, we went to the sand dunes and it was so fun. I climbed up one and slid down jumped off and face planted. It was really fun and there was a beach and we brought our togs so we got in and we swam for an hour it was fun.

After that we went on bus rides to the market and stuff like that.  We went to a resort it was the best resort ever. I got a yummy burger and chips there for lunch it was the best.

And then we went to the airport and we got through security and we were on our plane after getting my iPod/iPad so we were on the plane so the whole ride I was playing on my iPad.  When we got back to Christchurch we got Maccas and went home.

High Ropes

High Ropes:Ok I'm here at the high ropes in Wainui camp I'm just getting checked to go on the high ropes . It doesn't look like what I'm imagining, I thought it would be scary though. I was thinking it would be like a big climbing wall well doesn't matter.. it still looks fun to me. Umm..ok! Let's do it! Ok I'm climbing up the ladder his is scary it's getting really wobbly in this ladder and people are saying to me keep going but I can't, I think I'm going to fall off!!.The climbing staples are so small I'm getting really worried… I'm on the rope I'm almost getting close to one of the buoys over there but I'm gonna fall off. I'm not going to make it, now everyone chanting wrecking ball I'm doing it ahhhhh!!!...phew I'm off well that was kind of fun that wasn't so scary at all. When I'm scared and I still go through with it and when it's over i'm fine and I was feeling awesome that I decide to do things like this.

I'm rainbow colourful and I've got a zig zag in the middle of me with different colours going through it. 

I go on heads all the time especially in public. 

I'm tall and wide I've been respected because I get put on and get hung up in the wardrobe after being worn.

I smell like sweat but I I've been put in this swirly machine after being worn and I come out smelling better than ever. But I'm young, won't die anytime soon. People say I look funny 

and I've been warming my owner’s head every single time he wears me.  After he wears me he respectfully hangs me back up. 

I think I have a great relationship with my owner because he does all these things to make me happy and clean.

 I love him and he loves me.
